Chewless in Rantoul

Well, I'm still in job search mode. I thought I had a job lined up this week, oh well. Easy come easy go. The guy called me at 7:23 AM Monday morning, well, I slept in. So I called him back around 10:30, and he had already found someone else. This after he called at 7:30 on a Sunday night. Sounds strange to me. Like I said, oh well. Good thing there weren't any cliffs around though cuz a brotha was a little heated.

I haven't had a chew in a few days, I could really use one. Anyone who wouldn't mind donating a pinch for your fellow dipper, it would be much appreciated. 623 Willow Pond Rd.........free game!

Gettin Tired of the I-L-L

Ok, so here I am on a Saturday evening already reminiscing about the Illini and their lackluster homecoming game against a weaker Big 10 opponent in the form of the Minnesotta Golden Gophers. Minnesotta started the game with an impressive drive. Nothing new to us Illini fans, we're used to giving up big plays and big scores. So on the Kick Return, ol Regis cant field the ball cleanly, it goes into the endzone, he decides to bring it out anyway and has a great return of 2 yards. Woohoo, we start at the 2 yard line. The rest is history. Untimely line colapses, cant score when we have 1st and goal inside the 10. Can't hold on to the ball. Can't tackle people. I'm just plain sick of it. All this talent and we lost to Minnesotta, on Homecoming. Ok, I forgot, lets go to Missouri, lets go to Penn St., lets go to Michigan and score a combined 116 points, and only 20 at home against the Gophers. Tough to make a Bowl Game like that. Way to get your team motivated for Homecoming there Zooker.

Clinton Lake is no Orono

Fishing can be rewarding for many reasons. One of which is just the peace and quiet. A person can think deeply and earnestly while casting or jigging. Lots of ideas and scenerios can be played out in your mind while enjoying a day on the lake. It relieves stress in ways nothing else can. Soaking up the sun, enjoying a nice little breeze off the lake, watching the birds as they swoop in to try and get their next meal, seeing a youngster and the joy on his face as he reels in his prized catch, and being out in nature away from the everyday bump and grind/hustle and bustle life that we have become accustomed to in the 21st century at 1 million miles an hour. It's nice to slow down.......

Hemrich and I journeyed out to Clinton Lake this past Sunday. We(actually he) only caught 1 small Blue Gill....which is why I say Clinton Lake is no Orono.....LOL(They weren't HITTIN!!)
