Duane and I are back from THE premier lake trout and pike fishery in the world-----NOT!!!!! The fishing was disappointing to say the least. We caught about 15-20 fish a day at the most and none were in the monster catagory. The trout are great fighting fish and about knock the pole out of your hands, but there just weren't enough of them. Wind blew us off the lake one day and was real bad the last two-----just ask Duane how much fun it was getting out of the 5th narrows!!!!! Highlight of the trip was Duane getting a trout on his ultralight in the fast current with 4lb test line while fishing for grayling. Great, great 10 minute fight.

Food was really good---steaks, ribs , baked chicken etc. with desserts every night. Duane even scarfed up the last piece of lemon merique pie that EVERYONE was eyeballing.

Great bunch of guys at camp---lots of stories and good times. Just not enough fish to keep everyone happy.

Saw lots of caribou and a fabulous rainbow,but I repeat-----NOT ENOUGH FISH. BUT!!!!!! There is Orono in about a week, so hope springs eternal in the hearts of fishermen. Let the onslaught begin!!!!
